Volunteers needed to alpha test an online strategy game
Hey guys,

I'm looking for some alpha testers for a new online game I've been working on. The game is a browser based strategy game about dwarfs that should eventually be able to host several hundred players simultaneously. For starters I'm looking for about 20 people.

All of the basic features and layout are inplace, so the game should be fully playable. Some important features such as npcs aren't in yet though. I'll be adding features during the test, which should last about a month.

If you're interested, that's great. Head on over to www.dwarfgate.com and sign up, join the forum, and say hi. Bear in mind, however, that this is a very early test. Crashes are likely and I'd really appreciate it if you'd commit to logging in at least a few times a day and posting your bug reports, suggestions, and impressions.

Signup is open now, and the game will start as soon as I have 20 players signed up. If you miss the signup, feel free to join the forums and keep an eye on things. There will be bigger tests in the near future.

Sorry guys. I didn't want to kill the server on the first day out, so I had to limit the number of players. Depending on how things go, I'll be starting a bigger alpha soon. Keep an eye on the boards. I'll probably post the occasional update here as well.

daikiki, I'm not sure if you're aware of it or not. But a former HF member Darqflare runs a gaming news and links site at http://www.omgn.com/. Could come in handy to drum up interest when you expand to the next alpha test stage with a larger group, as well as beyond.
