House Forsaken Freak Out
When we last checked up on the lamers at House Forsaken, they were still
grappling with their little forum crisis and members were falling like
flies. To put it mildly, the much vaunted HF is in a state of total
collapse.

For an example of the state that HF is in, here’s 
an interesting thread from their makeshift forum :

Fate began the thread entitled “What’s going on with Admin?” by stating:

I need to *do some managing.
Self-titled.

The ever officious Aeon responded with:

You what?

Fate shot back at Aeon:

Man that’s rediculous Aeon, your Mod status is literally babysitting.
Since you’re not assigning any Admins enjoy the over rotting forums that
are just going to sit there, oh and be sure to promote the ones that
require it… if you even know which ones those are?

Lates.

After a meaningless interjection from the do-nothing HigH ForsakeN named
StormFire, Fate followed up with:

You can’t edit profiles
You can’t modify usergroups
You can’t add/remove forums

But You can see all forums, and edit the threads.

Um, ok?
Let me ask a question to your nonsense Stormy,
Are you a House Director, or a Baby sitter?

Choose carefully.

I’m not sticking around if it’s going to be this way, this really pissed
me off- why? I enjoy seeing things grow and thrive, I can’t sit back and
watch. If I don’t find the necessary tools here. I’m going elsewhere.
I doubt Aeon will budge, so… take care. Enjoy whatever’s left.

Not used to this kind of honesty, StormFire could only babble:

whoa there bro, no need to get an attitude with me. i have no idea
what’s going on. maybe we need to have a chat with aeon about all this
before it goes any farther. i am under the impression that there’s some
problems with the forums still that need to be worked out (i say this
because im still seeing changes occurring) so we can get things back to
normal.

The officious Aeon and chief screwer-upper fired back at the impatient
Fate:

I rushed through setting up admin and didn’t setup all the permissions
correctly.

what a dick.

and everyones permissions got deleted because i had to delete the whole
admin usergroup that someone setup when we first switched over because
it had stupid bugs/errors as it was converted from the old forum. I
didn’t because my account is the root admin built into the forum. I
didn’t know permissions weren’t set correctly.

How about sending me a fucking PM or IM or MSN or IRC message? Its not
like you dont have plenty of ways to get in touch with me.

The recent recruit eXicuter displays superior maturity with this:

Fate then took the ball in his hands and leveled the following at Aeon:

I’m pretty sure I asked you in this thread about Admin, and you
blatantly didn’t understand my straightfoward question (I was missing a
word, but you couldn’t figure out what I meant? Especially with the
title?).
I also messaged you earlier on msn. No answer on a online status. Right.

Then you throw me mod status without any simple information as to what’s
going on? You even responded to this thread, but you still didn’t answer
the only question this thread was designed for.

Course I’m a dick after all of that. Can’t believe you’d expect less of
me with the lack of feedback.
Also, you’re right, I’m supposed to assume the usergroups are deleted,
and that I’m also supposed to assume you’re going to govern your forums
with the same mentality as you did before. Both you and I know who’s
priviledges you were changing prior to these new forums.
Great way to keep someone who manages and watches over the forums on an
hourly basis in suspense.

To top it off, I’m fucking myself right now. How’s that?

Aeon babbled thusly:

I thought you would’ve realized that if something had not been done,
there was a reason for it.

When I reset all the permissions, i added all of you as administrator.

In our control panel, its not that simple. You need to then define what
an administrator does.. I did not know that.. when you made this post, i
went back and added you to the high forsaken group, which i had given
full-mod rights to, thinking that was what you were referring to. (also
not realizing you were an admin with no admin rights.)

Now that i went back again, I see i have to specify that even though
you’re an admin, what kind of admin you are. So you are now in two
groups.. admin with full admin rights.. and high forsaken with full mod
rights.

And I got your MSN message at 8:30.. when i got home from work. I left
MSN logged on at home, as well as AIM/icq.. I was doing some work from
home before I left and went to work in a rush to bring a server back up.

I hope this settles it.

If Aeon really does “run a tight ship,” then where’s the proof? He’s
always been an incompetent blowhard anyways. In any event folks, they
are beginning to talk about restricting to their “House Ressurection”
forum, so if you want to see uncensored conversations amongst the HF big
shots right in the open, you’d better head on down to the HF forums
before its too late.

Then again, the way that HF does things, it might be a couple weeks
before they really do restrict access and knowing Aeon, those
restrictions will likely be less than strict.
